Lake County Veterans Memorial Plaza

The Work Continues

To date, area contractors, suppliers, and volunteers contributed over $500,000 of in-kind donations of both materials and labor to refurbish the aircraft and prepare the final Plaza.  The plane is mounted and site preparation of the Plaza has begun, but the massive cost of the exhibit has slowed the completion of the project.

In 2018, Lake County Veterans Memorial (LCVM) became a recognized not-for-profit corporation, 501(c)(3).  Donations to LCVM are tax deductible.

The Lake County Veterans Memorial plaza offers a meaningful and engaging experience that recognizes the sacrifices, courage and valor of all Veterans and their service to our country.

Highlighted by an actual F-111A Aardvark that is prominently displayed in an intimate park-like setting at Waukegan National Airport. This memorial is designed to honor both past and present Veterans and to educate future generations about the enormous costs of freedom.

Your purchase of a memorial brick will not only honor your loved one, it will help us complete and maintain this wonderful memorial.
